The table.
The floor.
The field.

Lasting performance is built in order. Structure is reorganized on the table, retrained on the floor, and tested on the field — by the people best placed to do each, working from one plan.

  1. 01

    Performance Care

The table. Assessment and hands-on treatment of joints, soft tissue and the sensory input the nervous system depends on.

JC Zegarra, DC, CCSP · SportsLab Florida

  2. 02

    Performance Rehabilitation

The floor. Corrective exercise, ELDOA™ and progressive loading that teach the body to hold what treatment restored.

    Ben Velazquez · ELDOA™ · Theo Aasen

  3. 03

    Human Performance

The field. Strength, speed and sport preparation, built on a body that can tolerate the load.

Approach

Where you feel pain is rarely the whole story.

An ankle sprain from three seasons ago changes how a hip loads. A shoulder that never settled after a collision changes how the spine rotates. The body adapts to every injury, and those adaptations stay long after the pain is gone. So the assessment follows the chain until the pattern makes sense.

Injury history

Every sprain, surgery and concussion — including the ones you stopped mentioning.

Joint mechanics

How each joint moves, segment by segment, and where motion has gone missing.

Soft tissue & fascia

Restriction, density, glide and the continuity of tissue from one region to the next.

Proprioception

The quality of information the body sends the brain about where it is and how it is loaded.

Compensation

The workarounds the body has adopted, and what they cost elsewhere in the chain.

Sport demands

What your sport, position and training load actually ask of your body.

Lifestyle & recovery

Sleep, stress, nutrition and recovery habits that shape how tissue adapts.

Who we work with

Two kinds of patients. One standard of care.

Athletes

Professional, collegiate and developing athletes. Care that fits around your coaches, athletic trainers and schedule — in season, in the off-season, and on the way back from injury.

Dr. JC has worked with athletes from the NFL, NHL, MLB, MiLB, UFC, Supercross and Motocross, as well as professional golfers.

Active Adults

People who train, compete, or intend to keep moving well for decades. The runner whose calf tightens at mile eight. The lifter whose shoulder never settles. The executive whose back has started making decisions for them.

Background & lineage

Principles

Structure dictates function.

How a joint is shaped, positioned and supported governs what it can do. Load poor structure and you train the compensation. Restore it first, create space, then hand it on to be loaded.

Sport is sport. Sport is not health.

A principle shared across our lineage. Most sports are one-sided: you swing, throw and shoot from the same side, hold the same demanding positions, and repeat them thousands of times a season. The body adapts with imbalances and compensations — and the better the athlete, the better the cheater, so those adaptations are hard to see until they show up later. Our job is to find them early and keep the athlete healthy enough to meet the demands of the sport — and still well when the season ends.

The long game.

Quick relief is easy to sell. Lasting change takes accurate assessment, precise treatment and patience — and a team that sees the work through.

The team

No one gets you there alone.

Performance Care is one part of a system. Some of the people in it work beside us every week; others are already part of your life. Either way, with your permission, everyone treating and training you works from the same picture of what your body needs.
